
ABOUT ANNA
In both her personal and professional life, Anna is always asking questions and seeking to find a connection with others. She has been working as a television news anchor and reporter in Omaha, NE at KETV Newswatch 7 since September 2024. She has covered both sports and news as a sideline reporter and news anchor/live-reporter. Some highlights include covering the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Lynx, Minnesota United FC, the PGA 3M Open & an NHL summer league.
The transition from sports to news came after graduating from St. Cloud State University in May 2024. Anna anchors KETV Newswatch 7 First News Weekends and serves as the FN Weekday Live Reporter. From live breaking news coverage to sitting down with community members in Omaha, both reporting and anchoring keeps her on her toes.
Anna has always held a unique perspective on being different. She believes being different is what sets us apart and makes us special. As a Korean adoptee, Anna has known different from the get-go. Her adolescent years consisted of inquisitiveness, curiosity and joy. She considers her own adversities as blessings, finding they can go hand-in-hand in journalism and her ability to connect with others.
Anna’s family moved to Minnesota in 2016, prior to embarking in her first stages of her professional career path at St. Cloud State University. Developing a growth-mindset young, Anna has always emphasized steppingstones and building blocks – She competed on both her high school golf and dance teams. She was the VP of National Honor Society, a Student Council Senior Class Representative, the Director of Hospitality for DECA and a mental health advocate/board member.
Anna interned with Fox 9 during her collegiate broadcasting career, served as the SCSU University Television Station Assistant Sports Director/Anchor, the DI SCSU Men’s Hockey Team Iceside Reporter on Fox 9+, Husky Productions Feature Reporter, a UTVS News Anchor/Producer and a Digital Personality/Reporter for Da Beauty League (Octagon NHL Summer League), Legacy Golf Course and SCSU Athletics. She graduated in May 2024, earning a B.S. in Mass Communications (TV Broadcast Journalism) & a Marketing Minor.
In her spare time, Anna enjoys fitness, spending time with her family & friends and sparking thoughtful conversations with strangers.

Anna believes that life is a journey & everyone has a story... With many stories left untold. She firmly believes in the power of a growth mindset, knowing that she can accomplish greatness through perseverance, dedication and sincerity in her everyday approach. She is firm in embracing challenge, asking the tough questions and strives to be a storyteller, not only in work but in life! Stories are powerful and create the connections we all so deeply long for.
Growing up, Anna's encapsulation of live sports games shifted from not only watching the game, but homing in to the stories beyond the plays. Anna followed her dream of a career in sports broadcasting at St. Cloud State University.`
Anna's love for the game cultivated a foundation of thriving under pressure, gifted her with treasured relationships and instilled the confidence within her today.
Anna aspires to continue to deepen her passion for people in her current work as a journalist. She considers it a true honor & gift to connect with people every day. She vies to inspire others and tell the stories that matter.


CAREER DEVELOPMENT
2021 In August 2021, the pursuit of Anna's dream became a reality at St. Cloud State University. Anna got immediately got involved with University Television Station (UTVS), as a sports anchor + host on Husky Mag. She was a courtside reporter on NSIC Network for Men's and Women's Basketball. As well as learned the "nitty gritties," behind- the- scenes, working as an In -House Production Assistant with the SCSU Athletics Creative Media and Content Team, covering all Husky Athletic teams.
2022 In Anna's second year at SCSU, doors were opened through her role as a Feature Reporter + Scorebug Operator with Husky Productions, producing every DI SCSU Men's Hockey live home broadcasts on Fox 9+. The Herb Brooks National Hockey Center soon turned into her second home. Through her work with the broadcast, Anna produced features airing on Fox 9+, served as the SCSU Volleyball Team Beat Reporter and covered the NCHC Frozen Faceoff and NCAA DI Men's Ice Hockey Championships as the SCSU Team Reporter. Anna expanded her horizons, as a Big Ten+ On-Air Presence, in the booth, as a women's hockey color commentator. She hosted "Weekend Preview" for St. Cloud State Athletics social media and also conducted sit-down interviews with players on "Husky Locker Room." Within UTVS, she was a Sports/News Anchor & Producer and hosted lifestyle segments on UTVS News, in partnership with the Tri-County Humane Society. As well as served as a host/moderator of the UTVS sports debate show-"Crunch Time."
2023 In Summer 2023, Anna landed an internship at KMSP Fox 9 in the sports department. She produced sportscasts, anchored in-studio and fronted standups out in the field. She covered the 2023 MN Vikings Training Camp & OTA's, MN Timberwolves, MN Twins, MN Lynx, MN United FC, the PGA 3M Open, the Thielen Foundation Charity Softball Game, MN Gopher Football and the Fox 9 Town Ball Tour.
Anna was the Da Beauty League Media Personality - A NHL summer hockey league in coordination with Octagon & the Social Media Personality for Legacy Golf. In both digital reporting/hosting roles, she developed, curated and fronted social media content through standups and interviews. In addition, Anna was a Junior Golf Instructor in tandem with Shattuck St. Mary's Golf Center of Excellence/Legacy Golf.
Anna also spent time at Bally Sports North, shadowing Bally Sports personalities, Katie Storm and Tim Laudner- where she delved into Twins pregame/postgame show production.
2023-24 In her senior year, Anna served as the Husky Productions Iceside Reporter for the SCSU Division I Men's Hockey Team and hosted/produced a sit-down interview segment series on Fox 9+, "Husky Locker Room." Anna kicked off her primary team reporting role at NCHC Media Day, where she interviewed all NCHC captains for the NCHC's digital platforms. She was the Women's NCAA DI Hockey Iceside Reporter on Bally Sports North, covering the 17th Hockey Day Minnesota. Anna took great pride in expanding her endeavors at the UTVS TV station, as the Assistant Sports Director, Associate Producer of Husky Mag and Sports Anchor/Reporter on UTVS News. She continued her involvement with the SCSU Athletics Creative Media and Content Team as the Host/Producer of "Rinkside," presented by The Rink Live, previewing every men's hockey series for SCSU Athletics social media. Anna continued to deepen her passion and joy for people & storytelling, producing Fox 9+ feature stories for Husky Productions.
In May 2024, Anna was named One of the Nation's Top-6 Collegiate Sportscasters in the 2024 Jim Nantz Award and First Team All-American by Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA).
2024- Current Anna landed her first job, post-graduation in September 2024 with KETV Newswatch 7 in Omaha, NE. She currently works as a Weekend Morning Anchor and Reporter on First News. She also is a consistent fill-in anchor on KETV Newswatch 7 at Noon, 4:00, 5, 6, 10 p.m.
